Blockchained education: challenging the long-standing model of academic institutions

The model of higher education institutions has remained widely unchallenged over time. Although study topics keep evolving and the inclusion increasingly sophisticated technologies have revolutionised format lectures learning experiences. Their value chain remains unchanged, with acting as intermediaries, between professors (knowledge) students (recipients), central authorities granting validating student knowledge. work here presented is a review blockchain technology its application in education, emphasising opportunities for disrupting current academic institutions. Blockchain technology’s prime novelty constitutes an incorruptible digital ledger transactions, capable recording virtually any nature exchange. When coupled other emerging such internet things big data, new paths decentralised exchange knowledge skills appear. result extensive analysis evolution applications, along forecast plausible scenarios disruption steadily advancing at accelerating rates; applications aimed decentralising educational are already available. Meanwhile, keeps gaining momentum growing base adepts.
